Work History

Mr. Boyer has over 12 years of experience in the civil engineering and land development field. He has served as Project Manager and Project Engineer on a wide range of civil engineering and land development projects including single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, schools (elementary, middle and high schools), transportation, and pedestrian/bicycle trails. In October of 2005, Mr. Boyer has challenged his experience and expertise in the field by opening his own development and engineering firm. Mr. Boyer has recently joined the Spring Environmental team bringing with him extensive experience in the design of water quality controls, erosion and sedimentation control devices, as well as secondary containment devices.

Project Experience

Mr. Boyer’s current project experience was gained through his employment with other firms spanning from 1994 to 2005. The project experience listed below is for work performed while employed at these firms.

Cabela’s Development, Buda, Texas

Managed the design and development of the 126-acre Cabela’s development. The projects included with this development were:

  • Cabela’s Subdivision Preliminary and Final Plat.
  • Cabela’s Subdivision Public Infrastructure and Wet Pond Improvements.
  • Cabela’s Site Improvements (40 acre tract)
  • Cabela’s Mass Grading Improvements
  • Coordination with TxDOT and the City Engineer for construction of all State and City Improvements associated with the development.
Villas at Sunset Valley, Sunset Valley, Texas

Managed and designed subdivision improvements for a 50-lot single-family residential subdivision. The project included various designs of water quality controls including a wet pond, bioretention facility and standard sedimentation/filtration facility.

The Homestead at Sunset Valley, Sunset Valley, Texas

Managed and designed site improvements for a large strip style shopping center that including two out-parcel lots. This project included at site improvements associated with parking and utility improvements and a combination water quality treatment facility. The water quality treatment facility consisted of both bioretention and wet pond facilities.

Camp Swift, Bastrop, Texas

Managed and design site improvements for two (2) training areas and one (1) Utility Training and Equipment Storage (UTES) area. The UTES area site improvements consisted of concrete, drainage, and lighting improvements; whereas, the two training areas consisted of roughly 1-mile of roadway, drainage, and sidewalk improvements. All of the site improvements for these projects were federally funded project and included construction observation services.

Fort Wolters, Weatherford, Texas

Managed and design site improvements for a 200-foot by 200-foot Utility Training and Equipment Storage (UTES) area. This project was a federally funded project that included concrete pavement and drainage improvements and well as construction observation services.

Cannoli Joe’s, Sunset Valley, Texas

Managed and design site improvements for converting an existing Wolfe Nursery into a restaurant facility. This project including parking, drainage, and water quality improvements.

Leander Independent School District (LISD), Austin, Texas

Designed and managed the preparation of construction documents, and construction of several school sites that include parking, pedestrian access to and from the school, grading, drainage, water, wastewater, water quality, and detention improvements. The projects include:

  • LISD Canyon Ridge Middle School
  • LISD Artie L. Henry Middle School
  • LISD Vista Ridge High School
  • LISD Laura Bush Elementary
  • LISD Administration Building
  • LISD LEO Center
Vista Ridge Boulevard, Cedar Park, Texas

Designed and managed the preparation of construction documents, and construction of 3,500 linear feet of roadway improvements. The improvements included streets, drainage, water, wastewater, and a 10-foot wide hike and bike trail.

River Place Development, Austin, Texas

The development is part of a 1,440-acrea tract of land developed as a golf course and residential community. Provided preliminary and final engineering services for the design and construction of streets, sidewalks, drainage, hydrologic studies, water, wastewater, and environmental controls for the residential portion of this development, prepared contract document and specifications, coordinated the bidding process, and provided construction administrative services. The projects include the following:

  • River Place Revised Preliminary Plans No. 9, 10 and 11
  • River Place Section 11 (89 lot residential subdivision)
  • River Place Section 12 (1,300 lf of roadway improvements)
  • River Place Section 13 (62 lot residential subdivision)
  • River Place Section 14 (1,500 lf of roadway improvements)
